CF-2200 Cryostat

The CF-2200 cryostat is a precision freeze-cutting microtome with a single compressor and 360˚ specimen orientation capability. It has sectioning control down to 1 µm precision. Section thickness ranges are adjustable from 1 µm to 100 µm. Trimming thickness ranges are adjustable from 10 µm to 400 µm.

The well-illuminated, stainless-steel cryochamber of the CF-2200 system utilizes an open-top design to minimize temperature instability during prolonged use. Chamber freezing temperatures can be controlled down to -30°C. The Peltier-controlled sidebar can be quick frozen down to -60°C, which helps reduce ice crystal artifact formation.
